Assistant Pastor of Adult and Student Ministries Rev. Glenn Jakes was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in the small town of Covington, just east of Atlanta. He and his wife, Norma, met at Dekalb Junior College near Atlanta, and married in 1986. Glenn later graduated from Georgia State University in 1990. He and Norma then joined Mission to the World and joined a church-planting team in Sydney, Australia, living and working there for two years. When that project was complete, he and Norma traveled to St. Louis, Missouri, where they enrolled at Covenant Seminary. After graduating in 1998, Glenn was called as Assistant Pastor to First Presbyterian Church, Dothan, Alabama. Next, he was called as Senior Pastor to First Presbyterian Church, Crossville, Tennessee. In 2004, Glenn was called as Assistant Pastor to Perry Presbyterian Church, Perry, Georgia. Glenn and Norma have three children. Contact Glenn at gmj.ppc@gmail.com or by phone (478) 987-1403.
Bonnie Franklin serves as the Church Treasurer. She is married to Mike Franklin and has two grown children, Carsten and Kelly. Bonnie has worked at PPC since March of 1996, either at Playschool or serving as Church Treasurer, or both.
Bridget Howard serves as the Church Secretary. She graduated from Perry High School, Mercer University and The University of Georgia with a M.Ed and an Ed.S degree in Educational Technology. Prior to beginning her adventure as our church secretary, Bridget was an educator for 38 years. She has been a member of PPC since 1984 when she married Steve Howard. God blessed them with two wonderful children, one grown son, John David and a daughter, Anna Kathleen, who lives in Heaven. Denise O'Neal serves as Children's Ministry Coordinator. Denise has been a member of Perry Presbyterian for over 20 years. During this time she has been very involved in our Children's Ministries. Denise has now served as our Children's Ministry Coordinator for eight years. She has two grown children, Josh & Hannah.
